Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path Section 2

Joining two adjacent sections, Oxcon CLL completed 3km of shared path from Kohimarama Road through the Pourewa Valley and onto Orakei Basin.


Newmarket Level Crossing

This project involved removal of a level crossing and construction of a new bridge.

SH39 Mangaotama Stream Bridge Replacement

With the existing bridge in dire need of repair, Waka Kotahi engaged Oxcon CLL for this replacement project. The old bridge was removed, and replaced with a largely pre-fabricated bridge, with all works completed in just 16 days.

NORANA ESPLANADE WALKWAY

Oxcon CLL completed the new walkway along Norana Esplanade in Mangere, Auckland.

SH16/18 Noisewall remediation

1.8km of orange Noisewalls along SH16/18 refreshed with a cladding product in a pattern to reflect the local Waitakere Ranges. Two further walls were demolished.

Point Resolution Footbridge

This award-winning project involved the demolition and replacement of an existing footbridge.

Nelson Street Cycleway

The ‘Pink Path’ is Auckland iconic, award-winning new cycleway bridge over Spaghetti Junction.

Grafton Gully Cycleway

This 1.9km long cycleway is an extension of the North Western Cycleway.

ELLERSLIE NOISE WALLS

On this project we constructed 400m of 3m high concrete noise barriers to the hard shoulder of Auckland’s State Highway 1.

HEADLAND STAIRS

These new pedestrian stairs link the pathway from Stephens Avenue to the Pt Resolution Footbridge that crosses Tamaki Drive.

SH16 Lincoln to
Westgate Upgrade

Oxcon led the CLL team as a key project subcontractor on this final section of the Western Ring Route, a Road of National Significance (RoNS). 

Orakei Basin Boardwalk Section 3 Balustrade Replacement

This was a design & build contract for NZTA, which required concept and detailed design for a replacement balustrade along the length of the Orakei Basin Boardwalk.

HALF MOON BAY MARINA CARPARK

The Northern Pier Development at Half Moon Bay Marina involves construction of a 210m by 12m wide carpark structure located along the shore of the existing boatyard.

ST LUKES CYCLEWAY

The St Lukes Cycleway Safety Improvement project involved the realignment of the on and off ramp intersections at the St Lukes overpass bridge to facilitate an additional right turning lane onto the motorway. 

AMETI RETAINING WALL

This project comprised construction of a 60m-long piled retaining wall on Lagoon Drive adjacent to the Panmure Roundabout in Auckland. 

CRL STAGES 2 & 3

Oxcon have been involved with CRL Enabling Works since 2016; firstly through the provision of a Pipe Jack Manager on CRL2; and more recently by undertaking piling works on the CRL3 project.

Wakefield Street

Oxcon and CLL were engaged by Icon to carry out a $4M enabling works package for AUT’s Wakefield Street Development

tamaki path - omaru bridge

Oxcon and CLL were engaged by HEB to construct the Omaru Bridge on the Tamaki Path Project for Auckland Council. We proposed an alternative prefabricated method installed with a 400T mobile crane to reduce need for equipment within the CMA

millwater PEDESTRIAN bridge

Oxcon CLL were engaged by WFH Property Limited to construct a timber pedestrian bridge between two existing retaining walls to cross a small tributary of the Orewa River. The bridge creates a pedestrian link between Precinct 5 and Precinct 6 of the Millwater residential development, connecting Godfrey Drive at the northern end to Kowhai Road to south side.

waterloo bridge

OxconCLL were commissioned by Fulton Hogan Land Development Ltd to construct a pedestrian bridge over the Waterloo Reserve, which is a key amenity feature for the Milldale Residential Development site. The bridge provides a pedestrian link between two sides of the Waterloo Creek which bisects the Milldale Residential Development.

parnell station underpass

The Parnell Station Northern Underpass is being constructed as an alternative crossing beneath the rail line which will better serve commuters using the rail station. The underpass will provide a pedestrian link between the existing boardwalk on the western side of the railway, and to the train station on the eastern side of the railway with a future connection to the north.

purewa road

Following completion of Section 2 of the Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai project, Oxcon CLL then went on to deliver the connection between Sections 2 and 3 along the edge of Purewa Road in Meadowbank.

waikowhai PARK

Waikowhai Park is a popular, picturesque reserve located in Hillsborough on the Northern shores of the Manukau Harbour which comprises two discrete closed landfills at Waikowhai Bay and Faulkner Bay. Over time the environmental performance of these landfills has deteriorated and a range of works were required to ensure the ongoing stability of the landfills and protection of them from environmental impacts so they can continue to operate effectively.

slippery creek FOOTBRIDGE

In order to provide a safe shared path for pedestrians and cyclists over Slippery Creek in Drury, Auckland Transport commissioned Oxcon CLL to install a footbridge directly adjacent to the busy Great South Road Slippery Creek Road Bridge. This footbridge entailed work connecting into the existing structure as well as standalone, piled bridge construction at each end.

seaside park REMEDIATION WORKS

Seaside Park is a very busy park buzzing with activity off to the side of Otahuhu. Oxcon CLL has been contracted to complete coastal Seawall construction work around the entire perimeter of the park to both repair old seawalls and add new rock revetments where they have been eroded or washed away.

SH1 Loop road upgrade

Loop Rd is the southern portion of an ‘inland freight route’, which rosses SH1 south of Whangarei. The intersection with the state highway is a critical connection for the Northland forestry sector on the journey to and from Northport at Marsden Point, where logs are sent for export. With increasing traffic volumes in a high speed environment, there is a growing safety risk and operation delays for freight traffic at this location. 

Puketutu Leachate Riser

Puketutu Island is progressively being filled with biosolids from the Mangere Treatment plan to return it to a Volcanic Cone form. An extensive leachate capture system is being installed as part of the filling operation and Oxcon CLL were contracted to extend one of the 3.0m diameter leachate risers.

huapai triangle footbridge

Connecting the Huapai Triangle Development and Huapai Township, Oxcon CLL constructed this 200m footbridge crossing the North Auckland Line (NAL) rail for Cabra Developments.

Hobsonville Marine Recreation Centre

This project involved the construction of an architecturally designed 1200m2 timber platform over the water for a new marine recreation centre and a jetty, gangway and pontoon.

Western Springs

Western Springs Stadium remediation includes various work packages to repair damage resulting from the Auckland Flood in January 2023.

Kings School retaining walls

Oxcon CLL were called on to replace a significant retaining wall which was damaged during the 2023 flooding in Auckland and instal an additional wall to increase the usable area for the school fields.
