sh16/18 noisewalls remediation

Spread across both SH16 and SH18, were seven noisewalls with a deep orange colouring to represent the clay of the Waitakere Region. Years of exposure to the harsh environment called for a remediation, so Oxcon and CLL lead a team of labourers to remove two walls and Swift Roofing to clad five walls with a roofing product.

The new pattern of ColourCote Black, Grey Flannel and Mist Green Aluminium Spanlok represent the Waitakere Ranges of the West Auckland Region.

A highly successful project for Waka Kotahi and the community, completed without incident, with minimal damage to the environment and to a very high standard.

These walls are a wonderful new sight to be seen.
