The works involved construction of a rock buttress to stabilise the embankment and reinstate the slope. Key activities included vegetation removal, clearance and disposal of slip material, and placement of over 400 tonnes of heavy basalt rock across a geotextile layer to form the new revetment.
The site featured constrained access, steep topography, and significant ecological sensitivity. Working closely with arborists and Council’s urban forest team, we implemented tree protection measures and low-impact access strategies to preserve native vegetation and habitat.
The majority of works were completed safely and efficiently within a short programme window. Final landscaping is complete, with planting reinstated to offset vegetation loss and support long-term slope resilience.
